Coaches Code of Behaviour
COACHES CODES OF BEHAVIOUR
All staff and members of Gymtastic are required to comply with the Gymtastic Coaches Code of Behaviour Policy.

Respect the rights, dignity and worth of others regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.

Be fair, considerate and honest in all dealings with others.

Provide feedback to participants in a manner sensitive to their needs. Avoid negative feedback.

Be professional in presentation and dress in accordance which club guidelines for coaches and staff.

Make a commitment to providing quality service by being professional at all times.

Be aware of, and maintain an uncompromising adhesion to, Gymtastic standards, rules, regulations and policies.

Operate within the rules of the sport including national and international guidelines which govern Gymtastic, the state associations and the affiliated clubs.

Do not use your involvement with Gymtastic to promote your own beliefs, behaviours or practices where these are inconsistent with those of Gymtastic, Gymnastics NSW, Gymnastics Australia, or an affiliated club.

Demonstrate a high degree of individual responsibility especially when dealing with persons under 18 years of age, as your words and actions are an example.

Avoid unaccompanied and unobserved activities with persons under 18 years of age, wherever possible.

Refrain from any form of harassment of others.

Refrain from any behaviour that may bring Gymtastic, Gymnastics NSW, Gymnastics Australia, or an affiliated club into disrepute.

Provide a safe environment for the conduct of the activity.

Show concern and caution towards others who may be sick or injured.

Be a positive role model.

Understand the repercussions if you breach or are aware of any breaches of this code of behaviour.

Coaches must be appropriately dressed in Club tracksuit or uniform including appropriate enclosed footwear.

Coaches should be dressed in club polo shirts & ¾ black pants or leggings. Respectable black sports shorts or 3/4 pants are permitted. (Bike pants, cargo pants or cargo shorts, street wear, singlet or short tops are unacceptable

Coaches should always be well groomed with hair neatly tied back and care in their personal hygiene

Minimal jewellery and make-up permitted.

Body tattoos if not discrete, be aware you may be asked to cover.

Male coaches should be neatly shaven or make sure their beards neatly timed.

Remember as a role model, so please ensure your food and drink choices are appropriate.

Coaches are not to use their mobile phones during work hours and phones should be on silent until break times.

All coaches will assist with set-up and pack-up of equipment.
